Details:
Charmaine Clamor boasts a singular contralto that combines classic Great American Songbook jazz with torch song drama and soulful R&B inflections. With her warm, sexy vocals and vibrant stage presence developed from her work with the renowned harmony ensemble Crescendo, she is a talent to watch. And hear!

Charmaine was born in the Philippines, where she began her singing career at age 3, entertaining passengers (whether they liked it or not!) in the back of buses traveling to Manila. As she grew, she began providing piano accompaniment while her mother sang Kundiman (Filipino love songs) and English language classics. From these memories comes her love of the Great American Songbook.

Charmaine was one of the headliners at the standing-room-only First Filipino-American Jazz Festival held at the world-famous Catalina Bar & Grill in Hollywood, California along with Pinoy jazz greats such as Emil Mijares, Toti Fuentes, Sandra Lim Viray and Tillie Moreno. She is one of the founding members of JazzPhil-USA, a non-profit organization which promotes Filipino-American Jazz Artists in the United States.

Charmaine is the alto voice in the jazz vocal harmony quintet CRESCENDO and a frequent presence on live music stages around her adopted home of Southern California. She is a proud Pinay who's honored to perform at events around America that celebrate the Filipino Culture.
