To accompany her singing, Mimi picked up the guitar when she was 16 and found that she could finger-pick, much to the dismay of many of her friends who were actually trying to accomplish that skill through tons of practice.
As a solo artist, she's opened for the likes of Bobby Weir, Dan Hicks and Nils Lofgren.
