Details:
Artist/ Producer/Songwriter Démien began what would turn out to be an extraordinary musical journey in the second grade, when his mother enrolled him in the Pasadena Boys Choir in Pasadena, California. During his summer breaks, he attended the Harlem School of the Arts in New York which is where he began to learn the guitar, and also began writing and singing his own compositions. By the time he had finished high school, he was proficient in more than 10 musical instruments, and had started recording and producing his own songs. After high school, Démien went on to study music at Hampton University in VA, where he sharpened his skills as an instrumentalist and began to write and produce songs with a local production company. By the time he had graduated he knew that he wanted to try his hand at the music industry, and went to intern for a New York music production company which had landed some tracks for a then unknown group, Boyz II Men. The next couple of years were a rollercoaster of events, starting with him being signed as a recording artist to Elektra records, being dropped, and producing his first commercial release "Lady Lay Your Body" on the Carl Thomas Emotional LP. "I was young to the industry and didn't know the in's and outs. It was definitely a learning experience." Over the next years he would become a studio musician, as well as DJ. In 2000 he released his 1st independent EP, Generation D Volume 1. In 2003 his travels took him to Philadelphia, where he was able to land a position at DJ Jazzy Jeff's A Touch Of Jazz studio's where he released his 1st full length CD Supernova Syndrome in conjunction with his own Generation D label. His credits include work on group Boyz II Men Throwback, Carl Thomas' Emotional and Let's Talk About It, Mary J Blige The Shark Takes Soundtrack, and has worked as a musician with artist such as Jamie Foxx, Herbie Hancock, Jazzy Jeff, Glen Lewis, Raphael Saadiq, and Jill Scott.
