With lyrics inspired by the search for the true meaning of life, love, and destiny; singer/songwriter Harmony Fernandez' album "Look World" will warm your heart and capture your soul. Harmony started singing as a child with her mother in small southern churches, bars, and dance halls. Her single mother of six children moved the family out west to New Mexico and was killed in a car accident two years later. Harmony continued singing in churches, staying connected to God and her mother's spirit. Excelling in both basketball and singing while in high school, she was offered a scholarship for both at local colleges. She accepted the basketball scholarship, but at the age of 17 she felt she was at a crossroads in her life and decided to leave her scholarship so she could become a professional singer. It was at this time she wrote her first song about her walk through life since that day her mother died, "My Only Fear." She became a touring cover singer for several years and landed in St. Louis, where she has made a name for herself. Having just completed her debut CD of original songs and recently winning the 2004 "St. Louis idol" competition, Harmony knows she is now ready for the world. Some of Harmony's musical influences are Bonnie Raitt, Shawn Colvin, Gwen Stefani, Beth Hart, and Edie Brickell.
