Details:
First Offence are a three piece blues/rock band; Jack Hammer - drums, Rob Hall - bass and vocals and Bumpy Rhoades - guitar. The Band was formed in 1984 and enjoyed numerous national radio plays including two half hour sessions on the famous Tommy Vance Friday Rock Show. They then signed an album deal with Metal Other Records, which saw the release of their first album, âThe First Offenceâ on vinyl, closely followed by âThe Hand That Rocksâ produced by Nick Bowcott of Grim Reaper fame. They were part of what was then known as the "new wave of British Heavy Metal". Although probably not enjoying the success others of the same era achieved, they remained undaunted and have continued to tour ever since. 2009 sees them release âThe Hand That Rocksâ, which also includes tracks from their vinyl album âThe First Offenceâ. In support of this album, the band will be touring extensively in the UK throughout 2009.

âPunchy and Imaginative Hard Rock 82/100 â -Bernard Doe "Metal Forces"

Reminiscent of Steppenwolf and Dumpys Rusty Nuts - Derek Oliver "Kerrang"

Produced by Nick Bowcott of GRIM REAPER and GUITARIST magazine fame is a slight diversion for this band in style and content but is still as hard hitting as a hammer to the head. Listen out for the chanting monks. - Chris Johnson "Music West"
