Lauretta Macbeth Grew up in the wilds of Alaska.
"My daddy was a gold miner and my momma was a gold digger."
Before deciding on a career in Rock and Roll she pursued her interest in gold mining, dog mushing, commercial fishing, film making, kayaking and was a culinary engineer in remote bush camps,on fishing boats and sailing vessels all over Alaska.
Lauretta managed a public radio station in the Aleutians (Shumigan Islands)for four years. She has published a book of poetry and has written and illustrated a childrens book about her grandfather, Johnny Beaton's discovery of the famous Iditarod Gold Strike of 1908! She is an artist, film maker, director, producer, song writer and singer.
"I wasn't hearing the kind of fun, sing along Rock and Roll I grew up listening to so I decided to write something. Something "peppy" as my mother Penelopie would have said. I wanted girl power, feel good music with a 21st century beat you can dance to!
