Details:
I started out as a doo-wop singer in a vocal group. This was in the late fifties. We made a couple of recordings which did not do all that well.

When I went into military service I became interested in the piano. I would listen to my brother ray's recordings and I would imitate him. I actually taught myself to play this way. The guys in the army band saw how interested I was in music and some of them would help out whenever they could. Whenever I had some free time I was in the rehearsal hall practicing.
Along the way I became very interested in the drums. The army band drummer gave me some lessons whenever he could. I would practice on the piano and then practice on the drums. I really preferred the drums over the piano. For the rest of my stay in the military I spent as much time as I could working on the music thing.

When I got out of the service I sort of got away from music for a while. Had to get used to being a free man. A little while later I found myself drifting back towards the music scene. I went to the Granoff School of Music to get some formal training. I started taking piano lessons but leaned more toward the drums. Eventually I just went with the drums.
I got to be pretty good on the drums and people started to call me for gigs. I played a lot of rhythm and blues gigs but there was not much of a challenge in that and I started to lean more and more toward jazz. At this time my brothers Ray and Tom Bryant were really making big names for themselves in the jazz world.

Well, I have been playing gigs in and around Philadelphia for quite some time . I have seen my nephews Robin , Kevin, Duane and Shane Eubanks come up and make names for themselves. Besides being the best guitarist around Kevin is presently the music director on the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno". That is really great. My sister Vera Eubanks is a very talented pianist, Organist, Clarinetist, singer, music arranger and so on and on. She has all kinds of degrees in music. No wonder her sons are where they are.

Whenever I play gigs I am always asked to sing something. People have been telling me that I should persue a singing career and for years I have been shrugging it off. I finally took their advice and produced the CD entitled "It's Now Midnight(Waiting For Your Love)".

On my debut CD as a singer I have teamed up with some of the best musicians around. Charles Fambrough is on bass, Bill O'Connell is on piano, Ralph Bowen is on tenor sax , Omar Hill is on percussion and I am doing the drum work and vocals. I have tried to create a CD with a degree of variety. It's Now Midnight(Waiting For Your Love) could be classified as smooth jazz or pop. Shake A Lady is a toe tapper that could be smooth jazz or pop. The other six tunes are standards with very interesting arrangements. I sing on all of the tunes except "All Blues". All blues was written by Miles Davis in 3/4 time. I do it in a funky 4/4 time.
