Details:
Life in Bed was formed in the waning days of 2001 after the demise of  Pittsburgh's Manifold Splendor.

Taking the name, Life in Bed off of the magnetic poetry adorning a refrigerator, the band has sought to combine their love of 80's pop icons, The Smiths and The Cure with the more aggressive sounds of the 90's indie guitar explosion while maintaining a fresh approach to highlighting what made these sounds great.

After solidifying their lineup, Life in Bed entered Pittsburgh's +/- studio in early 2003 with Jason Jouver (of Creta Bourzia/Don Caballero) to record what would eventually become their first full length release, Two Point Perspective.  Released in October 2003, on drummer Sean Finn's Polar Recordings label, Two Point Perspective was met with positive reviews and the band has toured regionally in support.

Presently, Life in Bed has just released a 5 song ep of brand new material.  Recorded at H-hour studios by Jason Kirker (Modey Lemon, Pikadori), "Exercises for Translation" expands Life in Bed's continued emphasis on melody and dynamic guitar interplay while emphasizing a more mature, focused sound.

Regional touring and promotion are planned for 2005.

Life in Bed has shared the stage with such great bands as The Appleseed Cast, Chin Up Chin Up, Engine Down, Minus the Bear, Trans Am, The Promise Ring, The Forms, Aspera, Pilot to Gunner, The Six Parts Seven, Hey Mercedes, Maritime, Decibully, Owen, Don Caballero, Asobi Seksu, Travis Morrison, Troubled HUbble, Channels, and Adam Franklin of Swervedriver.
