Kris Raney is a reclusive Austin, Texas based artist. Not often seen on tour, his music has been floating around the internet since before the MP3 was invented. Being a technophile at heart, his style is an eclectic collection of electronic pieces influenced by rock, jazz and classical, not defined by a single genre. While there is some commonality that runs throughout, each piece is carefully crafted to be a unique snowflake.

Broken Waterfall is a collection of music previously released via internet channels, with a couple of previously unreleased works added in to delight existing fans. This effort was brought together by Scott Feeney of Oceanbase, a netlabel and online art collective. It has been lovingly remastered. Though some of the works may be familiar to fans, they have never been heard like this before.
