Who is ILL Heights?

ILL Heights comes from the south suburbs of Chicago in an area where low income homes and the middle working class dominate. The group consists of three members who each bring a different style to the group. Durish brings the hypeness to ILL Heights with his aggressive, in your face vocals. J90 brings a slow punch line filled flow, and is a born hook man. Roop brings ILL Heights a chill, yet ride to flow and can fluctuate from this to an aggressive swagger filled vocalists. Our music can be described as something you have never heard before. The style can be fun party rap, meets hardcore to being clubby and bass filled. Every song is catchy and will stick to you as soon as you listen to it witch makes ILL Heights listeners wanting to listen even more.

ILL Heights âWritten Freestylesâ

Written Freestyles is a CD introducing ILL Heights as a group and what we come from. We put everything we have experienced in Written Freestyles and worked hard to create a great album. The theme of the CD is based about where we come from and what goes on around where we reside. The CD has sixteen tracks including two hilarious skits created by Tony Rab âT Rabitâ. We bring some serious tracks to the table and some tracks for the ladies. As well as some hardcore club bangers. Written Freestyles can be played at clubs, parties, homes, and is a good CD to ride to. Especially if you have a good sound system, because the CD bangs in your trunk.

ILL Heights is a part of (R.A.P) Rise Above Productions a record label ran out of South Chicago Heights, Illiniois. Derek Durish the founder of label is a third of ILL Heights and supplies the group with studio time out of his house and supplies all of the beats for ILL Heights. Jasen Miller and Eric Roop are a big part of the label acting as co-producers and promoters. Tony Rab âT Rabitâ and James Williams are the artists for the label. They provide artwork for CDâs , posters and flyers as well as design logos. Rise Above Productions is a new indie label that just got started in August of 2008, and theyâve been making music ever since. The label Currently is working on ILL Heights second CD and working on a Mix tape âNew Years Resolutionâ with artist Ciryl Da Great. This CD drops in late March and will be available on CD baby.
