Papa Root is 40-year veteran of the music business. He started out as a guitar player and singer with various 1960's era rock bands, recording his first single at the age of 17. In addition to being the songwriter, lead singer, guitar, and harmony player with Papa and Mama Root, he serves the same functions with Americana blues band, BluesRoot.

Mama Root has been involved with the music business during the last 40 years as well. She is the backing harmony vocalist for both Papa and Mama Root and BluesRoot.

Rock Doc is a multi talented veteran musician playing drums, guitar, and keyboards as well as bass guitar. "Rock" is the regular third member of Papa and Mama Root when they expand from a duo to a trio, adding a strong bass foundation. He also appears with BluesRoot.

Papa Root and Mama are the real deal. They were born in the south just after WW II and grew up in the '50's and '60's listening to the great songs and peformers from America's Golden Age of Rock and Roll. PapaRoot started to perform as a young teenager meeting a lot of the Hall of Fame names along the way.

Home Cookin' is old school...a live 15 song CD full of the stories of life. The style is Americana influenced by '60's rock and roll, southern rock, country rock and folk rock.
