Building on a firm foundation in classic thrash, MALINTENT bring an otherwordly, futuristic possession to their music indicating a stark frigidity often comparable to Voivod's Dimension Hatross albeit distinctly unique. Suggesting a shadowy destiny for a humankind whose long-awaited messiah lurks within a computerized network, revealing itself upon reaching self-awareness to seize man in thrall for eternity, The Second Coming presents a vision where hope is abruptly sustituted by enslavement. This concept offers an interesting allegory to modern society, a clever warning of the possibility that the general public has grown increasingly dependent on technology to exist. Their arrangements are as engrossing as the story they unfold here as well.
