As an employee of New York City Transit working with buses and subways for the past four years, Joshua Kraemer has learned a thing or two about what it takes to move people. With his project Pan Am Down, Kraemer has stepped back onto the musical track feet first, trying to move people, in yet another way. Kraemer was a former Earthling Records recording artist with the Norfolk, VA based Ultra Cindy that released an album "Mermaid's Parade" in 1994. Ultra Cindy were on compilations for Brilliant Records, Jiffy-Boy Records and also on Spin Art Records' "Lemon Lime Vol. 1" along with bands like the Apples In Stereo. In the past, Kraemer has played with numerous acts like Superchunk, Damien Jurado, the Swirlies and the Wedding Present. After getting out of music for a number of years, Kraemer began writing new material, inspired by hours watching buses and subways keep New York City moving and an ever assortment of workmates with stories from all over the world.
