He began to study piano when he was only eight. In 1993 he received the piano diploma at the Conservatory âG.da Venosaâ in Potenza.
In 1987 he formed his first band performing in live shows, wedding parties and places like that until 1991 when he released his debut album âSTOPâ. From then he started to perform as soloist.
In 1992 he was out with âSOULMANâ receiving plenty of local media attention, from newspaper to radio, particularly RADIORAI.
From 1996 to 2000 Pino Gioia collaborated with the M. G. L. music production. He was engaged as composer and producer of sound tracks and political party hymns. He collaborated with Warner Bros. and Galletti â Boston too.
From 2000 to 2002 he was touring with the show âSOLOâ¦QUASI LIVE!â. During that period he performed in about 250 concerts, in pubs and outdoor, either in Italia and abroad. The tour become a compilation, published on 1st Dicember 2000. RAI 3 and RETE4 gave a lot of attention to that work.
In March 2001 Pino Gioiaâs fan saw the release of his new album called â10... punto e a capoâ, a compilation of his songs published from 1991 to 2000, wanted by a music label from Varese called âLA NUOVA EDIZIONEâ.
In 2002 âQUELLO CHE VOGLIO was published in Canada (where he begun collaborations as producer-arranger). That album was launched in the USA too through radio interviews. The main radioes interested in Pino Gioiaâs music were CHIN Radio International, WEIR Radio (CBS), 3WG 1430AM Rochester, RADIO UNO Toronto, CIAO RADIO CORRIERE ,CKER and TLN.
In 2003 Pino Gioia toured in the main Canadian cities launching his new songs âTI TROVEROâ â I NEED YOUâ, these songs received plenty of Canadian and American radioes attention and gave the author an excellent criticals and audience reply.
In 2004 the single âQUALCUNA COME MEâ was published in Canada and United States. In Italy the song âTI TROVEROââ was included in the compilation âLUNA RECORDS â GRANDI SUCCESSI ITALIANI VOL. 1â.
January 2005 saw the release of âSOGNO CHE CI SEIâ, and in 2006 âASPETTANDO LA SERAâ was issued. Both was in the hits of many radioes in Canada and USA. In 2006 â 2007 Pino Gioia participated to two issue of âI GRANDI SUCCESSIâ for LUNA RECORDS selling 39.000 copies.
In June 2007 the single âLO QUE YO QUIEROâ was aired by 150 radioes all around Italy and in September Pino Gioia published the album COLLECTION and from October 22th he started a new tour in the major Canadian cities.
