Standing six feet tall, built like a tank, gentle but extremely dangerous when provoked, Marco Dane has shown extreme loyalty to Bearea Records and Mr. Ruger, CEO. In July of '96, 'Dane' made his arrival to what people are calling 'the next No Limit of this decade'. The integrity and respect that Dane shows to Mr. Ruger, has landed him at the close side of the CEO. If we had to compare these two gangstas to another pair, it would have to be Sonny Corrinthos and Jason Morgan on General Hospital.
This thuggish style of loyalty went on display in December of 2000, when Mr. Ruger and his 'Executive Team' were suddenly expedited to Gretna, La. They were unexpectantly charged on three counts of murder and a few counts of outlandish kidnaping and torture. The charges were filed by one of (then) Bearea's own disgruntled promoters. They were incarcerated for an exaggerated amount of time! More than a year later, all charges were dropped and Bearea was back on the scene again. This was the perfect opportunity for Marco Dane to shine. Mr. Ruger noticed the soul in his lyrics and his deliverance. The entire executive team agreed that 'Dane' would be the next voice of Southern Rap. Teamed up with other artists signed to Bearea Records, Inc, Marco quickly went to work on his first album (Red Rain) which featured Mr. Ruger, Lou Diamond, P-8, China, and a special guest, Hollaway from The Getto Commission which was signed with No Limit Records. Red Rain was packed with twelve tracks of raw street deliverance. It was the first of many more to come.
Dane called Ruger to say that he wanted to start on another project. He promised it to be sixteen tracks of 'that funk' and went on to foresee at least five of them to be hit singles!! He would name it, 'THE BRICK MASON'. Mr. Ruger immediately went to work putting the production team together for the project. Almost ten months later, the team was finished and the mastered demo was ready to send to the manufacturer. Now, you may ask, 'Did Dane keep his word?'
