Sinatra tunes but a little more swingin'...3 Awesome sax covers (instrumental) and a few Catchy originals that are a cross between Sting & John Cougar
12 MP3 Songs
POP: with Live-band Production, EASY LISTENING: Soft Rock
Details:
This album represents a chamelion of an artist who has sold tens of thousands of CD's. From bluesy jazz to Sinatra standards to saxophone-like instrumentals like Grover Washington Jr & a few catchy originals that you won't get out of your head. WARNING!! . The common thread is Marty and his unique soulful way of either his covers or the originals.
The drummer on 6 tunes is Fred "Catfish" Alias who has toured w/ AWB ya and recorded w/ Daryl Hall of
Hall & Oates. The musicianship on this whole record is amazing. The piano solos by J. Rowe are incredible on "Fly me to the Moon" and a very cool jazzy even Dark solo on "Play it Cool" is a must listen.
There is a gutty performance on "Soul Provider" by John Bernier that is a fine compliment to such a well written song.
"Satinique" is a tune Marty wrote for a friend who wanted to give his wife something for her birthday that was totally unique and not to be found anywhere so this song was the gift. Satinique means Sandy in Armenian.
This CD is dedicated to Marty's miracle in his life...his son Jude
Yes This CD was so fun to record it was appropriately named Q's Playground.
