Post-Mortem Telepathy began as a collective project in 1996 featuring members of Crevice, Hyperbubble, Mission Giant, Paisley Babylon and The Lysergic Dream.
For Nitrous Oxide From The Three-Point Line: The Adventures of Dr. K, Paisley Babylon and The Lysergic Dream joined forces to create a long-form fever dream--one that could be a first in recorded music: a concept album with no lyrics or frame of reference other than obscure song titles and the name of the album itself to offer clues about the nature of the album.
The concept began as a nightmare Paisley Babylon founder Joe Wallace had after an evening of over-indulgence in curry, lager and cold medication. Afterward, Wallace became obsessed with the imagery in his dream, which included an image of Dr. Jack Kervorkian performing euthanasia at center court during the halftime show of a pro basketball game.
Wallace refuses to divulge any more about the nature of the album, but admits that obsession is a big part of why the album exists today.
