Mary-Lou has been writing and performing her songs since the coffeehouse days in 1960's Boston. She has written and performed her music in Blues Bands, Reggae Clubs, and Rock Clubs in the New England area, where she experimented with world beats and R&B /Gospel styles. Her Contemporary Christian Band,SALT, won awards in Boston's Inner-City Christian Community.
She currently lives in South Florida, soaking up the Island Rhythms, teaching, performing, and acting as producer for other artists and songwriters. This is her second CD and is dedicated to the Heroes of 9/11/01. It is an eclectic mix of Pop/Rock, Reggae, Blues, and Gospel with evocative lyrics, phat arrangements, and infectious hooks. It's music with a message AND a beat.
