MasterClay is a Louisville Ky artist who raps with a group called DeepThought. The group consist of Shedrick Claycomb alias MasterClay and Michael Southers alias Mike MC. DeepThought is into positive rap music with a message. They have appeared locally in Louisville Ky. at The Louisville Gardens, The Kentucky Fair & Exposition Center, Commonwealth Convention Center, 1st Annual African American Heritage Festival at Waterfront Park, Summerfest at Chickasaw Park, Family Heritage Festival at Shawnee Park, Laura Bradshaw's Kentuckiana Spotlight on WLKY CHANNEL 32, Louisville Tonight on Whas 11, Wave 3 News AT 6 AND 11, Numerous churches, community centers, and schools in and around the Louisville Ky area. They have also performed at the Gospel Explosion in St. Louis Missouri and a Family reunion in Clarksville Tennessee. The group has released a number of songs in the past, some of which appear on this compilation CD.They created a Dedication to Dr. Martin Luther King while performing live at Martin Luther King Elementary School, the kids from the school can be heard in the background of the song (M.L.K.). MasterClay also host his own television show on public access television called "United We Can" It airs on channel 98 in Louisville Ky, every Saturday at 1:30 pm. DeepThought is a recurring guest on the show.
