Details:
Distorted Reality are back - and with a stronger presence than ever! They took their already amazing
sound, finessed it and experimented, defying genres. 'Daydreams and Nightmares' takes the listener
through a 16 track journey and includes guest vocals by Julia Beyer of Technoir and Andreas Meyer of
Forma Tadre plus a cover of "Rebel Yell" (originally by Billy Idol) and remixes by In Strict Confidence,
Agonoize, Das Ich, Daniel Myer and Dust of Basement. Produced by Andres Meyer of Forma Tadre.

Martha M. Arce sings brilliantly and even reminds a little of Alanis Morrisette in her early years - when
she was rolling over the stage and wasn't too focused on her vocals. Songs like âSomething Wickedâ (in
which Martha sings more feminine/friendlier) and âNever Changeâ sound truly impressive. Special
moments are when Martha is supported by Julia Beyer (of Technoir) on âGet a Clueâ and the amazing
cover version of âRebel Yellâ (Billy Idol). If this gig is the foretoken of the new album 'Daydreams And
Nightmares' than this should be a CD to look forward to! Probably one of the best performances of this
WGT that I've seen this year. --- Beautevil, Gothtronic webzine (Netherlands)

"When it comes to sophomore releases, many bands struggle to either replicate their sound or go in another direction entirely. Instead, Distorted Reality returns with a signature sound thatâs stronger than ever. "Daydreams and Nightmares" had fans waiting for quite some time. Was it worth the wait? Absolutely yes! Itâs all here. The electro-ballads that were found on the excellent debut "The Fine Line Between Love And Hate", thanks to the soulful vocals of Martha Arce and Christian Kobusch. Yet somehow, itâs different. When I first listened to this record, my overall impression was that this is not an overly electro record, with the constant in-your-face, throbbing beats. The album stands tall with 10 brand new tracks (including an exciting cover of Billy Idolâs "Rebel Yell") as well as 5 remixes, and a live version of "Rebel Yell". They definitely give 100 and plenty of tracks to satisfy those eager fans."

"This second album opens with "Never Change", which was also featured on the State Of Synthpop 2005 6 cd compilation. This track is a excellent launching point for the album, as it shows the refinement and development that DR's sound has undergone, while still staying true to the roots of the gritty EBM pop that is at the core of DR's sound. The album features a even mix of ballads and more danceable tracks, similar to the first album. "Forever" is a very solid mid-tempo track, not one immediately grabs the attention, but the more you listen to the track, the more you are drawn into it."
