The Newaygo County Council for the Arts presents âWest Michigan Folk Luthiers.â This is the third year for a concert and exhibit both of which feature all handmade instruments by seven different luthiers in West Michigan. In addition to this the NCCA is proud to announce that they have produced a CD entitled âWest Michigan Folk Luthiersâ to go along with the concert and exhibit.

The CD includes 16 great tracks all of which feature handmade instruments.
This CD and event showcases the talents and workmanship of seven West Michigan luthiers and a live performance by some of the best musicians in West Michigan. The performers include Don Benson, Mark Swanson and the 13th Hour, Dan Yother all playing their handmade instruments. The performance also includes Bob Hoppa playing a guitar made by Chris Cordle, Ralston Bowles playing a guitar made by Lew Fowler, Isaac Smith playing a fiddle made by Elon Howe, and Luke Sayers and Jake Stilson playing Robert Sayers guitars.
