Heavy music mixing industrial and metal together.

10 MP3 Songs
METAL: 90's Metal, METAL: Industrial Metal

Details:
Monkey Monks sounds like there would be at least four to five members, but in reality it is one guy. Monkey Monks is the works of Koh Okada from California. Monkey Monks has a very heavy sound mixing industrial and metal together. If you are into today's new metal sounds such as Slipknot and 80's heavy metal acts like Prong mixed with industrial programming, Monkey Monks is for you.

Monkey Monks sound definitely is in your face, and definitely would get all your energy out and flowing. I feel like getting up and jumping when I have this CD on. Koh's vocals are heavily distorted around the fierce drumming, and grinding metal guitar sounds. Koh has been in metal bands in the past, so you can definitely hear his influences as he brings in powerful bass to the mix. He really has done an amazing job bringing everything together. His lyrics and distortions are based on a crime and can be especially heard in "The man behind the Bars", which has a darker feel, and has some influence of Alice in Chains, in the chorus. This song really tears into the listener and it sure to wake the neighbors. "In the Process" has sort of a military feel in the beginning, and has nice guitar changes. Here, you can really hear the use of industrial beat machines. "The Inheirted Agony" keeps to the same style as the previous song, but is a level faster. The last track, "Under the Control of , has the most electronics, and brings in a sinister feel and gothic feel. In this song there is no metal sounds or vocals. Totally unexpected song compared to the rest, and way to end the CD that has been all in your face metal. Monkey Monks does not monkey around with this record. It is very well done intense industrial metal and is at a perfect timing as it seems that this metal with industrial beats is popping up in many places.
