Homegrown quirky pop songs of suburban life, love and work in the Silicon Valley. If Barenaked Ladies worked at a dot.com this is how it might sound.

Details:
"Lost Egg Blue" is a demo-quality CD-R collection of songs about life, love and work in the Silicon Valley. Written, performed and produced by Mark Sargent using a home digital 8-track studio, the songs on this CD blend guitar-based pop with the heart and soul of suburban life. It's sort of like a start-up Barenaked Ladies with stock options.

While the songs "Promises" and "The Things I Don't Do Now" convey the joyous responsibilities of being a father and husband, respectively, songs like "Lost Egg Blue" and "You Might Notice" uncover a little of the fear and loss of innocence lurking in the 21st century suburbs. Throw in a little office obsession ("Just A Man"), a Dilbert-esque ode to the work place ("Initiatives") and a little dot-bomb disaster ("Shine") and you've got a good cross section of how a normal guy lives and works.

Mark Sargent is the Chief Financial Officer for a private high tech company in the Bay Area. He has been writing and performing privately for the past five years, primarily to get his daughter to sleep at night, but also as a form of personal therapy. Now this very personal collection is available to you in it's purest demo-quality form for a greatly reduced price.
