Hailing from San Diego, California, The Strikers sound is a mixture of bands like Motorhead, Gene Vincent, and the Misfits. Joey St. Lucas (guitar/lead vocals) and longtime friend Donovan Teske (drums) were tired of trying to force their musical styles into bands that did not share their vision. Joey and Donovan began writing songs for a straight forward rock band that would not compromise its sound for anyone. Almost by luck they found Rob Broullard(upright bass/backing vocals) who also shared their vision. The trio began writing and performing, mixing their own, very different, musical styles into one aggressive âkick-in-the-neckâ rock ânâ roll band.
"One of my favorite band's in San Diego! I like groups that bend the rules a bit and these are those guy's! You take the stand-up bass, acoustic guitar, drums then add a dash of the Stray Cats and a dash of Motorhead, blend it all together and you have The Strikers! The songs are fast and ferocious! This is for fans of psychobilly, metal and punk rock! Can't we all just get along!"
