Details:
Steven Kent Murphy's compositional styles include acoustic and electronic. He has been writing music since 1981, and currently lives and works in Indianapolis, Indiana.

". . . Each piece of music on "Another Room" comes from some element in my life, whether it is about a person, place or experience. "Awakening", for example, is a musical memory of the waterfalls of Ithaca, New York where I lived for eight years. "Silver Rain", "Seashells", and "Legend" also hold memories of Ithaca for me.

"Floating Leaves" is an homage to Debussy and his approach to writing for the piano. I feel the approach to performing a piece is just as important as the composition of the piece. Some of my pieces are rhythmic while others have no tempo. These variants are important in my mode of musical expression, because nature itself has no limit on rhythm or the lack of it."
