Walter Lockett aka THE SNYPER was born and raised in Detroit, MI. As a young boy he was influenced by artist like Al Green, Hendrix, kiss, Parliment/Funkadelic,and everyone at Motown to name a few. He studied music at Cooley High School in Detroit,where he learned to play guitar, drums, bass and keyboards and other instruments.
He formed the band SURGE with lead vocalist Damien Black
and bassist Ponchorelli , drummer Ace, guitarist Dee, and
keyboardist Andrew the Wizzard.He was lead vocalist and
guitarist for the band POWER-PAK with co-lead vocalist
Kent Agee ,Bassist J.E. Payne,Drummer Aaron B. Sumner,
and guitarist Dee. Both bands performed in and around Detroit at clubs, festivals, and colleges with POWER-PAK
opening for groups such as MIDNIGHT STAR, ROLLS-ROYCE,
TAVARES, LITTLE ANTHONY & THE IMPERIALS, and THE TRAMPS.
DANCING THROUGH LIFE is his first solo project which he
co-produced with Executive Producer Aaron B. Sumner.In
it he displays his many talents as songwriter, musician,
and vocalist.
