Details:
Reminiscent of 8-bit video game music as much as it is of progressive electronica, Thoughtcomplex is an oddity in the modern world of organic sound. Simple, catchy tunes and spacey, harmonic beeps and blips punctuate this self-titled debut album, which will be available at online music stores such as CDBaby on February 14th, 2005.
Thoughtcomplex is a solo act devised by Isaac Ellingson, a musician, graphic artist, and programmer based in Boston. Ellingson has been releasing music for more than ten years through mp3.com, IUMA, and private websites. Prompted by changes in his life and his perspective over the past year, he is releasing music with a new name and image. His new offerings clash melancholy and nostalgia against a playful impudence, forging a dynamic sound that is completely original, and yet very familiar.
Thoughtcomplex is currently putting together a live band to play in area clubs, and is seeking music labels and musicians for future projects.
