Details:
Lo-Lite is a raw rockin' boogie stompin' two piece that's been around since 1997 (or so). Based in the Netherlands they've done quite some serious touring and made, so far, four albums and a bunch of vinyl singles and appear on some compilations.
The music's pretty uptight with a lotta slide guitar and possessed vocals from Lo and boomy bouncy drums from Lite.
Based on blues but without all the blues rock standards. Many boogie beats layering a big carpet for genius guitar playing. It's two fine examples of white not very young punks playing black blues. Trash rock how it should be played. All white blues guys should take notice of Lo-Lite's sound and songs!
The last album 12 Picks is out on german label Red Lounge records, both in vinyl and cd format. All albums appeared in both formats, except for the very first one, Basics. The second, Comics came out on My First Sonny Weissmuller recordings from Holland, the vinyl version on 702 records from Reno. The third, Sidekicks, had both formats on Slovenly records, again from Reno. The singles are out on Dutch, German, Norwegian and Spanish labels.
Check em out, this is the original bluespunk two-piece hammering out the finest when it comes to utter trash.
