Details:
J.P. Cregan is the stage name for John Cregan. This was done in an attempt to protect his anonymity. J.P. is also in Parklane Twin, an LA-based Alt-Country Pop combo that has been around for a couple of years.
In his spare time, he writes and directs films (his first feature, Devolved, is due out later in 2009), writes about fantasy basketball for ESPN, and convalesces from various surgeries.
This is J.P.'s first solo album, after recording with other huge bands such as Dynamite Fraulein and Sweetooth.
This record was recorded with LA-based wunderkind Nik Freitas in Freitas' Poppy Peak Studio. The two most distinctive instrumental sounds on the record (in this writer's opinion) are Nik's piano and J.P.'s B-Bender Telecaster.
