Biography
K. V. (aka; Kevin Valentin) was born in Harlem, NY, on February 7, 1974, to Ms. Milagros Valentin. K. V.âs âfamiliaâ, consists of Black (African American) and (Puerto Rican) Hispanic heritage. His music development began from deep roots. Being a nephew of one of the greatest guitar players, who played and traveled with no other than the great/legendary Carlos Santana, guitarist, Junior Ramos. K. V. was exposed to his inner visions early in life. Picking up a microphone and performing for his family inspired him to perform in public via parties and street shows. K. V., was so popular amongst his peers that when he performed, people who listened were fascinated, more-over hypnotized, for his lyrical vernacular was so addictive you had to give an ear!
One day while performing at a show in the Bronx, K. V. met a childhood friend nicknamed, Chedda (aka: Cheese and formed the hip hop group called the Marx-Men, thatâs when his career as an artist took off. However an artist of K. V.âs magnitude can be nullified by hardship, which kept him from practicing his art. During his hardship, K. V. was unable to participate in music and its events, moreover, unable to express his inner visions for a period of time. However being unable to practice his artistry vocally, he began to educate himself on the business aspects of the music industry. This helped him improve his public/fan awareness, of his music.
Upon his return from hardship, he discovered that his inner visions of his art form was being requested by his fan following, via the Internet (ex: APPLE I TUNES), invited mixed tape performances (by DJ. Doo Wop), magazine appearances (by D3 and Don Diva magazines), live appearances and performances, fan club drives, and invitations by established DJ. And music producers. Who desire to have his vernacular talents bless their music they produced for him. The Warrior Chief is back!
