Alâs Pals is a unique recording of some of the best standard swing era tunes. The combination of five saxes, trumpet and rhythm gives an unusual sound and thereâs also a little trombone thrown in on a few tracks. While the saxes are from the Phoenix area there are some Stellar LA musicians including Tom Ranier on piano, Luther Hughes on bass and Jim Linahon on trumpet.
This was a wonderful project with which to be involved and most who enjoy music from the swing era will treasure this recording. Submitted by: Don Lewis
