I have been involved with music since second grade. Through college, I was heavily involved in music - piano lessons, percussion lessons, marching band, orchestra, jazz band, choir and a rock band. In college, I even took a brass methods class, even though I was not a music major. In college, I started to feel a little "burnt-out" with music, and slowly was involved less and less. After college, I moved into my career and music did not play a large role in my life for awhile.

Over time, I missed having music in my life, and this album marks my return to something that I love so much. For this album, I have chosen two of my favorite traditional Christian hymns, and arranged them as percussion duets. With "A Mighty Fortress is Our God" I have tried to show the versatility and beauty of the marimba. With "Carol of the Bells" I have tried to showcase the chimes, with some quick runs an an unexpected twist in the middle. With all of my songs, I write the music that I wanted to hear. I hope that you enjoy listening to my songs as much I as enjoyed writing them!
