So, this is my 2nd CD. I guess I got all the rock, metal, blues, funk, and country out of my system for the time being with my first CD ("Another Working Class Dog" - also available here at the great CD Baby).

So this CD, "Somewhere Near Flagstaff" is a LOT more laid back. But if you're still looking for some fun lead guitar playing, I think you'll enjoy this one as well.

I'd describe it as a little Steely Dan-like, with some Larry Carlton, some mellow Steve Morse, some flamenco-inspired acoustic work, some smooth jazz, and some pop-rock thrown in for good measure.

If you're wondering about the titles of the songs (except for my cover of Larry Carlton's "Room 335"), yes - they are all lines from movies. I'll give you one to start: the album (and track 5) title comes from the classic film "Vacation". The rest of the titles? You're on your own. :)
