After debuting as part of the BAM Brooklyn Next fest in feb. of 2008, the avant-mambo band went into the studio to lay this epic suite down to tape.
An 8-song suite,Coconino incorporates salsa, mambo, son, and plenty of NYC funk and grit. Quickly making waves throughout NYC, the cd was released in April 2009. Featuring Stefan Zeniuk, (sax, compositions), Eric Biyondo, Jesse Selengut (trumpets), Kevin Moehringer, Rick Becker (trombones), Joe Exley (tuba), Clifton Hyde, Mike Gamble (guitars), Ari Folman-Cohen (bass), Greg Stare (drums), Brett Tyson(congas), Rich Stein (percussion), and produced by Clifton Hyde.
