Hard- hitting artist, BIG EDDIE going after it for over 30 years!!!
Since BIG EDDIE started learning guitar/keyboards, he has been wanting a major record label company to represent him. Big Eddie has always dreamed of being up on stage like the bands of his era doing concerts and being on tours, but nothing ever seemed to wrap up for him. That didnât stop BIG EDDIE from playing as he loved to play. Busting through playing only at open mics, ladiesâ auxilary dinners, some weddings, coffee shops, malls and frat parties; teaching lessons back in 1978 through 1991, in the State College area where he was from, he never really could get his name âout there.â He also wrote some piano compositions and won awards from the AMERICAN COLLEGE OF MUSICIANS that also published his name in the Magazine, Piano Guild Notes in 2007 & 2008. He has entered 2 more piano compositions this year. In March, weâll find out how he does. He did well. Big Eddie won $100 for his piano composition, âDRIVING IN THE SNOW.â He now has 5 piano composition awards, local and internationally.
BIG EDDIE did sell some CDâs on his own, but it just wasnât pushing enough. After opening his web page on MySpace, Big Eddie found out how to market a little easier and better. Hey. People where checking him out! He found out MP3âs where âin.â His site only started off as being just friends, but now he has music, merchandise and contracts that are now happening for him. âYes, Iâve been waiting for something like this to happen in over 30 years!â Big Eddie said. And he also added. âIâve been playing for so long and have only made a few bucks here ânâ there; as a starving artist, but now that may all change with MySpace.com. and now here at CD Baby.â
Big Eddieâs first album made it to a movie company, using one of itâs songs for the ending credits. After that, he started getting into the guitar again because of his childhood friend who convinced Big Eddie to get into playing it again. âIf I get somewhere this time, I will not forget him.â Big Eddie said. âHe is the reason I am here with my music today.â
BIG EDDIE says he wants his music heard on the radio, media, to do shows, concerts if he can get his rock n roll band together or even just going solo. Heâs been trying, but people are hesitant. âItâs easy to find people who want to be in a band, but itâs hard to find the dedicated ones though.â Big Eddie said. âRight now, Iâll keep playing solo at places that Iâm scheduled. Then I can grow and go from there.â Big Eddieâs new motto: âForget the past; keep moving forward.â [ ]
