Singer/songwriter Mel Vondrau met the production team of Madd Mudd quite by chance: a friend who was visiting from Wales asked if she would join him at a meeting with the team (who, in turn, had been recommended to him by another musician). The team were with guitarist, Latiff Johari, who was strumming the hook of Dust In The Wind. Mel began to sing along and within moments the recording of a new version was in progress. The production team lost the original recording due to a hard drive "issue" and Mel Vondrau returned to their studio a few days later to redo her vocals. Not knowing the original song, she sang the lyrics with her own take and incorporated a feel of wistfulness and a plaintive call to all who would ultimately listen to the track. With nature changing around us due to our own disregard to it, Dust In The Wind is a call to arms for everyone to join together and save our planet earth before it is too late.
