Too many bands set out with a specific sound in mind, only to struggle for years to find a comfortable fit within their musical identity. But there are others that evolve organically, allowing them to move naturally through multiple genres, sometimes in the course of the same song. Townie fits seamlessly into the latter category. Their debut album, 33, is a diverse, eclectic collection of songs that moves through rock, folk ,alt-country, blues and more. The result is a captivating listen that leaves the listener on the edge of their seat, anticipating the next song.

Townie has been in existence in various forms since 2007 the diversity in the music comes from years of combined musical experience between the members. Jason Rock is the front man splitting time on guitar and bass, Kevin Ivers holds down the 1 & 2's with precision, Justin Johnson spends most time on lead guitar, but vox and bass duties as well. The newest addition and final piece to the puzzle is Joel Jarrard on rhythm & lead guitar and bass.
