Teaching Waldo Jeffers is the bedroom brainchild of Matthew Schmahl, a History Student at the University of California, Irvine. The project started as a means of procrastination, but has transformed into an actual artistic endeavor, almost worthy of the name. Influenced heavily by the rock and pop acts of the 60s and the DIY aesthetic of everyone from the Velvet Underground to Beat Happening, Matt has created an album that, at least in his mind, is musically pleasing and emotionally satisfying.
