From Jazz to Jesus is the debut gospel album for Savoyd Beard, a retired member of the United States Army band in Washington, D. C. Savoyd played with the Washington Performing Arts Orchestra, supporting many jazz and gospel artists who performed at the Kennedy Center and Constitution Hall. This unique CD features hymns and original contemporary compositions - all are done with a touch of Jazz. Savoyd arranged or wrote all of the songs featured on the CD. Additionally, his skills as a musician, who can play a number of instruments, are demonstrated on all of the selections.
