Album Description
"Musical Favorites of All Times" presents a unique selection of outstanding piano, cello and violin music, suitable for listeners of all ages and tastes. In addition to works by time honored composers- Bach, Bloch, Chopin, Chaminade, Ginastera, Grieg, Kreisler, Liszt, and Paderewski, it includes compositions by the award winning young American composer Elizabeth Borowsky. The American Virtuosi, the phenomenal musical family from Maryland, USA, (The Borowsky Family (Frances-Grace, age 10-cello, Emmanuel, age 16-violin, Elizabeth, age19-piano, Cecylia Barczyk-cello, Charles-harmonica), have been praised all over the world for their extraordinary individual and collaborative musicianship. Music experts and audiences have enthusiastically applauded them not only for their musical achievements, but also for exemplifying the effectiveness of a family working together in harmony.

Music experts and audiences have enthusiastically applauded them not only for their musical achievements, but also for exemplifying the effectiveness of a family working together in harmony.
The musical talents of this family have been nurtured and encouraged under the guidance of Charles Borowsky and Cecylia Barczyk-Borowsky.
Cecylia is an internationally renowned cellist who has performed in over 80 countries, received many international and national awards including the Paderewski Medal for Outstanding Contributions to Music and Society, and won prizes in international competitions, including the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, J.S. Bach Competition of Leipzig, and the Cassado Competition in Florence.
Charles is a noted social scientist who has utilized the arts to build bridges among people and nations. He has organized many international conferences and festivals dedicated to the promotion of music as a vital tool for cultural, social, and economic progress. He also plays the harmonica and occasionally performs together with his family.
Charles and Cecylia's love for music has affected their children. The youngest member of the family is eleven-year-old Frances Grace, who takes after her mother in performing on the cello. In 2001, she received the The Young Cellist Award from the International Friends of the Cello Association. Sixteen-year-old Emmanuel, acknowledged as one of the most outstanding violinists of his generation, has studied with Zoltan Szabo, Gudny Kvaran, Roman Totenberg, Erick Friedman, Konstanty Kulka, and the late Dorothy DeLay. In September 2000, Emmanuel represented North America at the World Child Prodigies Concert organized by UNESCO. In 2002, he was selected to perform on the internationally syndicated radio show, From the Top (2002). Together with his sister Elizabeth, he received the Best '99 CD Award for his recording of Pearls of Music. Elizabeth, at twenty years of age, has already achieved international recognition both as an outstanding pianist and promising composer. She is a four time winner of the United States Chopin Foundation's Scholarship Competition, winner of the International Young Artists Award, Heidelberg Grand Prix, and the National Foundation for the Arts Merit Award. In 2003 Elizabeth received the Jerusalem Medal for her composition "Israeli Dance:
Let Us Go to Jerusalem, the City of Peace." The work was premiered in Washington D.C. by The King David Soloists of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra.
She has been guided by great teachers including: Ann Schein, Leon Fleisher, Krystian Zimmerman, Reynaldo Reyes, Andrzej Jasinski and Arnaldo Cohen.
The American Virtuosi have shared their talents with people of all walks of life around the world. They have performed in both Americas, Asia, and Europe. They have frequently appeared on television and radio both in the USA and abroad; several of their concerts were nationally and internationally broadcast. Their CDs (Pearls of Music, Belle Époque, VCPF, and Music for Peace in the Middle East) have been distributed worldwide through online music retailers.
