Deep Jackson has been rapping since 2006. That is when he started taking it serious enough to make it a career. He was born a lucky libra on October 16, in Welch, WV. That is where he lived until he was 17 years old, when he graduated from Mount View High School. He always had a nact for performing, because he was the star basketball and baseball player in his high school. He averaged 20 ppg and made the 2000 first team all-state in basketball, and that is where he loved to perform for people always making sure they got their money's worth. He just has "it", where people are drawn to his charm proving that early by being both Homecoming and Prom King! Translate that to his love for music and you can see why people leave his shows saying, "I want his cd!" As good as he was in basketball he knew that you are only as good as you want to be. A quote from his mom still lingers in his head today, "There is always somebody out there working harder than you!" And with that phrase is how he lives his whole life. During his senior year at Marshall University, he briefly appeared as an extra in the movie produced by Universal Studios, "We Are Marshall" starring Ian McShane, Anthony Mackie, and Matthew McConaughey.
He quickly honed his skills with the pen and made the metamorphisis to Deep Jackson in 2008. In July of 2008, he released his first mixtape Deep Jackson Vol. 1 nationally along the east coast and as far south as Atlanta. He and his partner in crime Panama Jac has opened for Rich Boy, as well as the much sought after T-Pain on the Bartender Tour in 2007. He is linked up from Yonkers to the East Side of Atlanta affiliated with Hard to Kill down to World Cake and Breakin Bread Ent. Jackson, Michigan aka Prison City all the way to San Diego, CA the name rings bells. The anticipation of his debut album "Sense Of Urgency" is slated for release 4/20/2009 and it has been said to have the potential to be the indie album of the year for 2009 and the sky is the limit for this 25 year old emcee.
