Details:
Roman grew up in Vienna and heard a lot of very varied styles of music during his childhood. Eventually, his inquisitive mind turned him into something of a multi-instrumentalist while he happily admits not to claim expertise in any of his beloved instruments. With a particular interest in the Sitar he has been intuitively exploring the instrument since the 80s, as a solo composer and with collaborative outfits including Masala & Groove Ganesh. In his work, which shows affinity to the likes of Brian Eno or Michael Brooks, he has always crossed musical and stylistic boundaries mixing and matching textures and genres.
This release features deep funk, smooth synth bass riffs, slow grooves and samples as well as catchy tunes. It is a nicely paced collection of songs with a balanced mix between party- and chillout-mood.
