Been playing guitar for 20-25 years, always a sideline. Played with street musicians around D.C in the late 70's, also in some clubs, parties etc. Mostly folk, almost always acoustic. Apparently have an idiot savant talent for some bluegrass, why I donât know, I guess thereâs a little hillbilly in all of us. Long Black Veil to Little Feat. Grew up around DC, in England, and West Virginia if I ever grew up at all. Influences, covers etc. : Emmylou Harris, Bonnie Raitt, Shaun Colvin, Kate Wolf, Fairport Convention, Grateful Dead, Pure Prarie League, Jorma Kaoukonen, George Grizbach. Also love Dave Bromberg. George Grizbach, Leon Redbone, om Wwaits, Leonard Cohen, Web Pierce, Bobby Bare.
