"Colorful"
The CANTO album is a very colorful album.
Cantonese is a colorful language. To sing in this fascinating language in a colorful way.
SONGS
é»è§£
This is the first song we have completed for the CANTO album, also the first time for Soler to write our own lyrics in Cantonese. This song sets the approach on how the listening experience would be like for the entire album. With Cantonese lyrics in mind while composing the melodies in the Soler way (unlike before we used to wrote most of our songs in English first, then the Chinese lyrics comes in later as a translated version), the outcome is fascinating.
More exciting is the song ended up casting an impression for many non-chinese speaking audienceâthey all remember "Deem Guy" and very quickly sing along while we perform. Many people come and tell us that "I don't have a clue what the song means but the 'Deem Guy' keep popping up in my mind! It's an amazing song!".
This encourages us to bring this album one step furtherâmaking CANTO an album for audience not even speaking the language, This is what good music supposed to doâbreaking the boundaries.
