Slow-stepping soul from Keni Stevens -- an artist who always seems to have a better way with a ballad than he does with a groove! The music here is often nicely laidback -- late nite stuff, but in an 80s sort of way -- given that most of the rhythms and instrumentation are electric, and the vocals get a bit of processing in the mix. That doesn't mean that the sound is cold, though -- as Keni more than warms things up with his solid lyrical approach -- spreading soul across the top in a nicely easygoing mode that really fits the speed of the tunes.
