Born the oldest girl of six siblings, including two other girls, Erica was born in Charleston, Missouri to Reverend Wiley Reed and Evangelist Frankie Daniels. She dedicated her life to serving God following her baptism at age 13 at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston, MO.

During those days, this family church swayed every Sunday with scores of relatives who made up the choir, ushers, and ministries praising God âfor His many blessingâ. Her steady diet of The Williams Brothers, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, The Clark Sisters and Shirley Caesar are reflective in her contemporary gospel, first CD, âThe Time is Nowâ.

She began at an early age writing and singing songs with siblings and community gospel groups such as, âThe Miracle Fourâ and the Charleston Community choir presented Erica with the opportunity to excel in her gift from God. âErica and my other children were always writing and singing church songsâ, explains her mother Frankie Daniels. âBut you could see that special gift in Ericaâ. âShe would start with a hum and oh my, what a powerful blessing of a voice God put in such a tiny frameâ. âShe always said that one day she would sing Godâs praises to the worldâ.

Through many trials, tribulations and setbacks, she continues to sing, praise and glorify God in her heart. Erica has learned how to depend on Jesus and knows that she âcan do all things through Christ, who strengthens herâ (Philippians 4:13).

âThe Time Is Nowâ is dedicated to her Mother, Father, Husband, Sons, and siblings, who always encouraged her to share her anointed gift with others.
