Biography
I was born in the parrish of Westmoreland in a district called Haddo which is thirty minutes brfrom Sav-La-Mar and about forty minutes from Montego Bay. I attended Haddo primary school until brthe age of twelve. Then I attended Knockalva Technical High school for six successful years. My love for brmusic started in primary school. In class my friends would use their hands on the desk to make a brbeat and I would make up a song to go along with it.br When I was in high school I would always hang out where the local artists were performing. I brused to go around a sound system called phoenix supreme where I would do my thing on the mic.brAfter high school I went to live in Kingston, where my stepfather had a sound system called german brhigh power. I thought this would be a good opportunity for me with the music because Kingston was brwhere everything was happening. A lot of artists like Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Buju Bantan andbrShabba Ranks were produced in Kingston so I thought it would be a good place to hang around.br
So what is Ruffibantan doing today? Well I have a group called Turn-It-Up-Entertainment which I take brwith me whenever I do any performances. After performing on stage for about twenty minutes I would call brthe group up and let them do their thing. I tell them all the time keep doing your thing because every man brhas their day and if my day comes before theirs I would not leave anyone behind. Right now I am working brwith some big artists like Bounty Killer, Mavado, Kibaki, Jaguar and the Alliance. I am in the studio everydaybrplaying around with the keyboard and coming up with new patterns to make new beats. Whenever I perform brI always start out with my riddims first and I always get a lot of love for them so thats where I am right now brin my career as an unsigned artist.
