Nalin Jayawardena resides in West Australia and comes from a family of music talents. His hobbies are learning and mastering digital recordings at his music studio in the making.

Nalin was the first Sri Lankan artist who made a Sinhala song CD available on the internet to be downloaded free of charge at NETCD @ Lakderana (http://netcd.lankaderana.com). In that endeavor, he was supported by his brother Rohan Jayawardena and the premiere Sinhala music website Sinhala Jukebox (http://www.sinhalajukebox.org) on its production and delivery.

"Paata Paata Heenayak" features 20 original songs arrainged in various music genre. Music compositions for 2 of the songs in the album are done by legendary Sri Lankan music director, Master-Sir Fame, Nimal Mendis. Rohan Jayawardena, Sangeeth Wickramasinghe, Bhadraji Mahinda Jayathilaka, and Ananda Waidyasekera also composed music for this CD.

Lyrical compositions were by Shelton Navaratne, Nalin Jayawardena, Dr Vicumpriya Perera, Dr. Vidyani Manathunga, Dilip Patabendi, Nimal Mendis (English versions), Pethum Thilakasiri, Ruwan K Ratnayake, and Daya Ananda Ranasinghe.
