BIOGRAPHY: JAIRO PUELLO
Jairo Puello was born to a Christian family in San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic, and accepted Christ as his personal Savior at the age of eight.
He traveled to Puerto Rico in 1991 where he graduated from theology in 1995. That same year he was invited to sing the national anthems of the United States and of Puerto Rico in the Hiriam Bithorn Stadium before a crowd of 28,000 people where the Winter Baseball All-Star Game was celebrated.
In 1996 Jairo traveled to El Salvador to record Tu Eres Excelso [You Are Exalted], a duo album with his sister Any Puello, which launched his career as a singer. In 2000 he signed a contract in the Dominican Republic with Melodías Records [Melody Records], a Christian Record Label, and produced his first solo album, Me Quedo Contigo [Iâll Stay With You]. At the beginning of 2007 he launched his newest album Atado a Ti [Attached To You], produced by his own record label, Arkangel Productions.
In 2008, Jairo was nominated to the most prestigious award for Dominican music, the Cassandra Awards. That same year Juan Luis Guerra received eight Cassandra awards.
During his career, Jairo has had the privilege of performing with prominent Christian singers such as Marcos Witt, Jesús Adrian Romero, Danilo Montero, Marcos Vidal, Daniel Calveti, Marcela Ghandara, René González, Raul Haro, Ingrid Rosario, Tercer Cielo, Lily Goodman, Julissa among others.
Jairo is married to Joanna Hufstetler, a North American from Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a musician, writer and actress, she is passionate about serving God through the arts. Both their children, Adriel and Megan, were born in the Dominican Republic. They now reside in Orlando, Florida.
As he serves the King of kings, Jairo has ministered in Puerto Rico, the United States, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Argentina, Nicaragua, Aruba Venezuela, Cuba and Haiti. His desire is for multitudes to know Christ through the message of his melodies.

Jairo Puello nació en San Pedro de Macorís, República Dominicana, en el seno de una familia cristiana. A los ocho años aceptó a Cristo como su y Salvador.
Viajó a Puerto Rico en 1991 donde se graduó de Teología en 1995. Ese mismo año fue invitado a cantar el himno nacional de los Estados Unidos y el de Puerto Rico en el estadio Hiriam Bithorn, donde se celebró el Juego de las Estrellas de Béisbol de Invierno ante una multitud de 28,000 personas.
En 1996 viajó a El Salvador donde grabó Tu Eres Excelso una producción discográfica a dúo con su hermana Any Puello, dando inicio a su carrera ministerial. En el 2000 firmó un contrato en República Dominicana con la compañía de disco cristiano, Melodías Records, produciendo su primera grabación como solista Me Quedo Contigo. Al principio del 2007 hace el lanzamiento de su nueva producción Atado a Ti, producido por su propio sello disquero, Arkangel Music.
En el 2008, Jairo fue uno de los nominados al más prestigioso reconocimiento al arte Dominicano "los Premios Cassandra". Cabe mencionar que en esta ocasión Juan Luis Guerra recibió siete premios.
Durante toda su carrera ha tenido el privilegio de compartir el escenario con renombrados ministros del canto cristiano como: Marcos Witt, Jesús Adrian Romero, Danilo Montero, Marcos Vidal, Daniel Calveti, Marcela Ghandara, René González, Raul Haro, Ingrid Rosario, Tercer Cielo, Lily Goodman, Julissa, entre otros.
Está casado con Joanna Hufstetler, una norteamericana de Grand Rapids, Michigan, quien toca piano y violín, además de escribir canciones. Procrearon dos niños, Adriel y Megan, ambos nacidos en la República Dominicana, y viven ahora en Orlando, Florida.
