Ryan VanDordrecht started playing in bands and writing music at fifteen years old. Now (29) the former frontman for the band Castella (2008) and Sidestar (2004), has had the chance to record and tour frequently, giving him the opportunity to play shows with artists like; Cake, The Gin Blossoms, and Jude. Recently Ryan worked with producer Joe Chiccarelli (The Shins, Beck, Counting Crows, etc..) on Castella's 2008 debut record, "How Did We Get Here." Ryan's current self produced solo EP, "Hurts Like Hell," is a collection of songs inspired by his rediscovery of music from the 60's and 70's like; The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, and Elvis Costello.
